Heller Decided! (several threads merged, new ones will be locked)

While I'm happy we still have 5 SCOTUS judges with common sense. It's very scary we have 4 who will throw our constitution under the bus. I somehow can't get very excited over this decision. WB

    Springfield Micro Compact 45

SoCal, let us know how yours does out of the box if you do get it Saturday. Mine and a few others I have heard about were not good at the beginning. I couldn't even get through a magazine full of ball ammo. I tried several different types and brands of ammo, I couldn't get it to run on any of...

    SA 1911 Micro-compact nightmare

If all else fails, send it in to Springfield. I had to send my micro in, couldn't get it to go through a full magazine, ever. It runs like a top now.

    Lubrication question: 3-in-1 oil

I've used 3 in 1 for about 40 years, off and on. I've also used CLP, and Rem oil, they have all worked for me. I just grab whatever I have handy. I just used some 3 in 1 yesterday, because it was what was handy on the bench I was working at. The only problems I've ever had were if I put...

    Improving accuracy

All very good advice, especially the dry fire exercises. But don't dryfire that 22 without a snap cap or empty case in the chamber. You will peen the chamber edge, and you don't want to do that. WB

    Best Shot You've Made

I don't know if it's a best shot but it is one I'll remember the rest of my life. As an 8 year old who was out of school for the summer, myself and a couple of my friends grabbed our fishing poles and headed to the creek. I also took my daisy lever bb gun. As we were walking down the center of...

Have you ever been shot at or threatened with a gun?

This post brings back some childhood memories. Happened twice to me. The first time a 38 cal. hit the door frame a few inches from my head and sprayed some splinters across my head. I was about 7 at the time. Second go round about ten years later, 25 caliber, some I just heard the whiz around me...

Revo's and Auto's...You can only have one favorite

I used to be a strickly revolver carry. More so because the type of work environment I was in, very dusty and dirty, the relvolver was a more dependable choice. Now that I spend a lot of my time behind a desk, I carry a auto much more. But I still carry the revolver too, mostly out of habit...

First Handgun, What was yours? Mine was...

Colt trooper 357, $175.00 1974. Sold it 3 times and I kept getting it sold back to me. I took that as some kind of sign and I guess it would be the last one I would sell now.
