Thanks for the clarification. The shotgun is just a single shot, so I think it will be safe to fire 2 3/4" shells in it even though the chamber is marked 3" only.

Just curios about some shotguns with chambers labeled for 2 3/4" and 3" as opposed to shotguns labeled with just 3" chambers. I'm assuming that shotguns labeled with just 3" chambers can also be loaded with 2 3/4". Do I have this all wrong?

No intention of hijacking the discussion but is it appropriate to use 2.5" .410 shells in barrels stamped 3.0" shells only? I have a Rem. 1100 in 410 ga with a barrel stamped 3.0" shells only and most stores carry 2.5" shells. Thanks in advance.

Mod. 36 may look the same as Mod. 60 in blue. I could be wrong but as far as I know Mod 36 only comes in 38 spl. while Mod. 60 comes in 357 mag. Someone maybe able to provide clarification on this.:confused:

Since weight is not an issue SP101. For a house gun, a S&W K-frame 4" barrel like a 19 or 66 would even be better.

To my knowledge FN makes the Hi-Power for Browning. I'm not sure what firearms are made by Browning, but most firearms (i.e. shotguns, rifles, pistols, etc.) I've seen labeled or marketed as Browning are made by someone else.

I have both and both are good pistols. It's a matter of preference. I prefer the 228 because for some reason I shoot it better.

The lower is the registered part and if it's not on the "list" it's considered an off list lower and that's it. What that does mean? Does it mean it's illegal but you can keep it as long as nobody else knows about it?:confused:

That sounds like a fair price. What will be the best way to do it if he decides to move forward and sell it. Is consignment a good way to put it up for sale? Neither him or I have ever sold a firearm so no idea.
