Applications can be submitted this summer. The state has six months to issue the permit. January 1, 2007, is the expected date per the bill.

rcellis is correct about the Dems going to bat for their governor. If Sebelius vetoes the bill, there will be enough Dems backpedaling to uphold the veto. This was reported in the KC Star last week.

I bought my Beretta 92 Inox Brigadier in 1997. This pistol is easy to shoot, easy to clean, and just plain fun. I have taken several new shooters to the range, and they have all fallen for the Brig--except my girlfriend who won't give up her HK USPc 9.

I wrote both representative Larry Campbell and state senator Brownlee about this. Campbell is all for it. I doubt that Brownlee will vote in the affirmative. Gov Sebelius is more than likely to veto, so we need to keep contacting the legislators and the governor with our message!
