I'm glad you are okay and nobody got hurt. I would agree to not go back into that store ever again. Just laid it on the counter and it just went off.........hmmm.... Kinda like Glocks are so unsafe because they don't have a manual safety..... What a bunch of idiots at that store.

I live in Oregon. Each and every time I have purchased a new or used firearm, the dealer has stated that information to the background check person on the phone. I'm guessing it's required because the background check person is asking the dealer for that information.

I have a Dan Wesson PM7 in 45acp. This is an awesome 1911 platform pistol. I love it !!! Excellent quality and value. Got mine new for approx $850 couple years back. All I can say about this 1911.... very tight pistol and it's a dang tack driver.

I would disagree that "larger is better". I think "smaller and more powder" is better ! What I think matters is two things: 1. Shot placement (disrupting the central nervous system) 2. Velocity (sufficient speed/power to go through clothing,soft tissue and bone)
