    45 Full size for carry

Out of the choices provided, I chose the 1911 because of the thin slide and frame. I have the G21 and a few 1911's. I love my G21, but that thing is a little big for me to conceal. My EDCs are my G30 & G36, though.

    Old Savage boltie 30-30?

I've got the Stevens version with the butterknife bolt handle & peep sight. Handy little rifle, accurate enough for what it's used for & if all else fails, I could beat the deer senseless with it -- one tough-built little bullet-launcher.

    Glock 30SF and 36

I own both as well. They take turns on EDC duty, usually in a MIC, but occasionally in a Shielded Holsters Phalanx. I've never had a malfunction with either one (or any other Glock for that matter) and the accuracy is right up there with my 1911s and XD45. In other words, no complaints here.

    FEG P9R-HP barrels and magazines

The FEGs (at least the one I own) will accept any mags that will fit the Browning Hi Power. As far as barrels, that depends on which FEG Hi Power clone you get. It's hard to tell from the Model Number since FEG has changed them over the years. I had a FEG P9M that looked like a Hi-Power...

Do you keep your extra range mags loaded???

I try to keep all of mine loaded. Somebody told me a long time ago that is the best place to store ammo & I agree.

    Bubba Peep Sight for SKS

The Mojo sights for the SKS/AK look pretty nice. I installed Tech Sights on my Mini 14 and they are very nice. For the time being, though, the $.10 washers are working great.

    Bubba Peep Sight for SKS

Hey, it works for me. It's just easier for my eyes to pick up a circle & center up the front sight than it is to pick out that little notch. Yes, more sight radius would be better, but like I stated before: quick & easy was what I was looking for.

    Bubba Peep Sight for SKS

I've got my own welding gear -- I was just trying to come up with something quick and easy. I tend to lean towards the "caveman" approach for truck/farm guns, so I want to stay away from optics on weapons designated for that purpose, but I have scopes on my deer rifles. This set-up is working...

    Bubba Peep Sight for SKS

Thanks for the input. I was already considering the TIG route after experimenting. Anybody have a good source for replacement sights for a Norinco SKS?

    Bubba Peep Sight for SKS

I'll take some tomorrow. The ones I took with my cell were terrible.

    Bubba Peep Sight for SKS

My eyes aren't what they used to be & I've been having trouble seeing the rear sight notch on my SKS. I wasn't really in the mood to invest in Tech-Sites or similar, so I took a washer with 1/8 inch hole, ground a flat edge, then used the old stand-by (JB Weld ) to fasten washer upright in...

It looks cool -- they did a great job. Not my cup of tea, but very nice!

would the M1 carbine make a good home defence rifle ?

Mine is one of my go-to HD guns. It's just as handy as my Mini. Since are empty-nesters who live out in the country, I'm not concerned with over-penetration.

    wasr 10

Sounds high to me. If you decide to get a WASR, just be sure to check the front sight and gas tube alignment. You might need to do some mag well work as well. I've had two and have never had a problem with the WASR.

Value of this 870 bay lug adapter?

I have one on my 870 Zombie Killer -- it's a real attention-getter. Mine was given to me, which I appreciate because here is what one sold for on Gunbroker: http://www.gunbroker.com/Auction/ViewItem.aspx?Item=193800456 :what::what:

That's what I thought too, so this is likely yet another case of a salesman not being knowledgeable.

    California Legal Question

A friend of mine was going to purchase a pistol over the phone and was just about to complete the transaction when the "salesman" said "Whoa, this pistol is California Legal and you live in Florida. Well, you know that because it's Callifornia legal, it's been modified to not accept hi-cap...
