Are "AR's" really worth the price ??

What your missing is the fun. Ar's, AK's, etc are just fun guns to have. Sure, there are police and military that use them for work and people who keep them around for defense. But, I would take a guess that most people that have them have them for the fun of it. Not every single gun someone...

I have shot both a McMillan and Barrett .50 cal rifles. That's been the upper limit for me.

    Cowboy Up!

I once got hit in the side of my neck by a fragment at an IDPA match. It felt like a wasp or hornet got me. Kinda scared for a minute. Everyone just stood there gawking for a second till my buddy said there was no blood.

    7.62x39 out of a .308

There is a company that makes chamber inserts to shoot x39 out of a .308. MCA Sports is the name of the place. They up in Alaska of all places. I have not tried them myself, so I have no idea how well they work.

    S&w 60-3

I saw around 5 or 6 Model 60's at our last gun show. Not a single one was under $500 and people were still buying them. If I could get one in good shape for $400 I would be all over it.

    Best All-around 357 Frame Size

I voted K-frame, cuz that's how I roll. It is a 4in 19-4 and I pack it during the winter months.

XD owners how do you like your pistol?

I have had my XD-40 4in for 4 years now. I lost track of how many rounds I have put through it, but it should be in the 5000 range. I have never had a single malfunction of any type with mine. I bought it brand new for $499. I carry it regularly and have shot a few IDPA matches with it.

My 686 is Going To Get Fed!

I have shot maybe 200 rounds of 158gr Monarch .357 through my model 19. It seems to be a little dirty, but it was actually pretty accurate. For the price it's hard to beat unless you reload.

Never mind. I should read the whole post before commenting.

Are the XD's as Reliable as the Sig P220?

In my experience my XD40 is much more reliable than the P220 I had. The P220 is a good gun but little annoying things like feeding issues with some mags and the hold open only engaging part of the time led me to get rid of it.

    Biggest Regret

It is possible to regret something more than getting rid of a gun. I would think that not keeping your word would be one of them. At least you don't have to regret not doing the right thing. As for myself, I sold a beautiful model 60 simply because I was offered double what I paid for it. I...

    Yes please.

    Followed & Fired at.

You need to get your head on straight. They don't care about the police or any freaking paperwork. If what you say is true they want you dead. You really only have two options. You can leave and hope they don't follow you, or you can stand up to them and probably die. Both options suck, you...

    Revolver Suggestions: .357 4"

My personal experiences have turned me to S&W and Ruger. Every Taurus I have had has had issues, albeit minor for the most part. My friends and family who have had Taurus guns have had problems with all of them. My most recent model 85 decided to break the firing pin return spring the last...

    The Right AK

I have a Yugo underfolder built by Century. It functions like an AK should and is more accurate than I was expecting when I first bought it. I am able to repeatedly put rounds on a man sized target out to 200 yards.

    New Mossberg 500 Mariner

Mossbergs are great guns. My 500A has thousands of rounds through it with almost no problems. All issues that I have had with the gun have been ammo related. I currently have it loaded with 2 3/4in Remington #4 buck. I used to buy into the 3in magnum hype, then I actually fired a few of them...

    Is the 357 fading away?

Well, I'm 24 and I have 2 .357's. One is a 19-4 and the other is a 66-2. They are my favorites along with my GI 1911. The tupperware isn't getting out much these days. I guess I'm just weird.
