Vic, Thanks for the info, just wasn't sure if this was original. Guess it is. It too has the original winchester barrel. Everything appears to be factory original, no refinish to stock, and blueing is 98%. Do you have any pics of your rifle? Thanks for everything, Al

I just purchased this rifle, and wanted to see if it is all original. It is a Model 70, .243, 1976 model according to the serial no. It has a walnut stock, with ebony grip cap and forend tip with whiteline spacers. It has a 24" blue,varmint contour barrel. Just haven't seen one of the model...
