I just read an article in this month's Armchair General (May 2012 issue, pages 18 & 19) that a lot of the equipment captured by the Soviets from the Japanese in August 1945 was turned over the the PLA as well as the Chinese areas areas that the Soviets liberated from the Japanese. (Mostly...
Greetings all,
I recently purchased a Smith & Wesson M&P-15 MOE in FDE. I'm interested in picking up a spare bolt and firing pin as spares. Any suggestions as to which ones? There are a million choices out there. Just curious if anyone here has an M&P that they have picked up spares...
I didn't think about that. Yeah I suppose its easier and cheaper to just use the same casting mold as the milspec one already used.
Agreed most don't know how to use one anyway. We got training on it but on my last deployment there were few that could actually mount one with M203's being...
I was looking through the Smith & Wesson catalog this evening and saw something that I was wondering about.
I notice on the M&P 15 that there is a model (MOE version) that has a bayonet lug on it. Would you actually be able to use this with a military M-4 bayonet? Reason why I ask is...
Picked mine up for a bit below what was listed above. No issues so far. For what I wanted it for it fills that role nicely.

It definitely has a love/hate reputation out there.
I have an XCR and I love it. Runs great and has lived up to my expectations. That having been said the company sucks. Take it for what it's worth. Kind of sad to me, such a great firearm from such a lousy place.....
My brother and I both own the Ruger Frontier rifle. (similar to the GSR if your not familiar with it.) He has the Burris fixed power (2.75x I believe) and I have the Leupold (2.5x). No issues or complaints from either of us.
I think a variable power would have a tiny FoV at max...
I'm curious to know the rough size of the Hornady Lock-n-Load AP press with the automatic bullet feeder and the automatic case feeder installed.
Roughly how high and how wide is this setup? (meaning from benchtop to top of feeders)
How much space do you need roughly above the feeder...
Much appreciated everyone! My next task is to build some shelves in my locker that I'll be using for powder storage then I'll reinforce the bench top as recommended.
Then I'll get my press and get started!
Thanks again everyone!
Here is my recently completed, almost done reloading area. Last stage to complete is to the the press and related equipment bolted down and get to work this winter.
Brand new to reloading so this is a work in progress.
Greetings all,
I have recently purchased a bench to begin reloading on. I bought a Stack-On WB-432 that comes with a 1" thick MDF work surface. A link to the bench is provided below from Cabela's. It was not sealed with anything so I heavily coated it it polyurethane prior to mounting it...
Just curious if anyone has any experience with ordering a rifle from Kimber? On July 18 I ordered a Kimber Model 84M ProVarmint in .22-250 through my local gun store. I've been checking with the store every couple/few weeks without a word from Kimber according to the store.
I'm wondering...
