Glock v. Rest of the Pistols

got the G21SF. yes cheap, light weight, simple operation, reliable and 13rounds of 45acp should be adequate enough for SD

22 magnum as a self defense round

Whatever other posters might think.... I for one wouldn't want to be at the receiving end of one of those babies. Used to have a revolver in 22 magnum. I'd rather have it than not have it in SD situations. Just me...:)

    Stress fractures in Glock slide

yup my research seem to suggest glocks dont do well when dry fired a million times for practice. That's why I just use snap caps when I can't go to the range to practice. They seem NOT to have any trouble when you show clear and hammer down during ipsc competitions though. :)

Which current production 1911 is CLOSEST to the ORIGINAL 1911-A1?

combatantr2 +1 on the NORINCO. specs and appearance are closely identical. good steel and better than springfields. much better than the r.i.a. utterly reliable out of the box. but of course NORCS are rare in the u.s. too bad indeed.

What caliber Do you carry most?

voted 9mm. And hope the time will nver come that i will actually have to use it. My 45 stays at home basically for HD situation. Need "one shot stop legend" to do its best when called for at home base but for carry, a 9mm is my choice because of 17rnds of a potent round in mag (G17) more...
