Rob a good scope mounting of drilling and bases should not be over 80.00 unless mount is a special order or one that the company is proud of ! Especially on a 22, unless its some really hard metal it should be a simple task.

burris makes a good scope, luepold, nikon, simmons, bsa all make good scopes, I use a bsa 3.5x30 on my super redhawk 9 1/2" and I shoot some heavy loads and scope has preformed well.

from what I saw in your photo's the weapon has some serious tolorence issues head space is probably way off and spit or rupture cases could result, or worse !

have an 1861-1890's hopkins and allen 45-70 smooth bore rifle need the flat hammer spring that screws to the frame.
