I'm considering buying a Burris XTS-235 for my AR, uses including range time, home defense, etc. The 2x magnifier entices me, as that's a major added expense with any other brand. Anyone have any experience with this scope?
I got some M160 frangible bullets from HiTech, however, I have no load data for a 108gr frangible bullet in 30.06. Can I use 110gr jacketed data, seating the bullet longer, to match the OAL of a standard military round?
I picked up a Mauser C96 ("Broomhandle") yesterday, chambered for 7.63 Mauser. Joy, another cartridge to reload for! :p It's a mixmaster, but the frame serial number places its date of production as 1897! Hopefully AIM will get my ammo here soon so I can shoot this piece of history.
I'm the proud new owner of a made in 1897 broomhandle Mauser, and just ordered some Prvi Partisan ammo and dies for the .30 Mauser cartridge. I know I will have to lube the cases, but now comes the hard part: loading data. Any suggestions on manuals that will have it listed? Especially with...
I just got back from lunch and in my absence, the big brown truck had delivered 1000 150gr Hornady interlocks in .308 and 200 XTPs in .357. Now to get the LnL fired up again!
PS, any pet loads for these bullets? I load 30.06, 7.5x55, .38spl and .357 Mag.
I just got an LnL AP and the associated powder measure won't throw two consistent charges to save its life. I'm trying to measure AA2520, a really fine ball powder, so that shouldn't be an issue, but somehow it clumps in the rotor/drop tube and fails to drop consistently. Any ideas?
