I have a 50 and a 54. Your info is correct. They are one of the more "traditional" of the Hawken replicas. The sights they come with are also very good. Much better than come on most of the factory offerings. One thing I will say is they are VERY HEAVY rifles. Like boat anchor heavy! Heavy...
I love them. The shoot well. Bore axis is low in the hand so it is ver easy to control and follow up quickly. Easy disassembly. They are expensive and they do get hot but they are hard to beat for a CCW pistol.
I would rate the P2000sk above them all but they are not cheap. A close second for me is the Glock 26/27. Great little pistols that are easy to shoot well.
I used them for a little bit but where they meet the frame would pinch the hell out of my hand under recoil. I tried sanding the area smooth but it still didn't work. I threw them away and went back to the regular mags with pearce extensions.
444..So do you really like the .44 special. I read another artice today about the S&W Thunder Ranch Special .44 special and I have to admit I am intrigued by it. Any thoughts?
I feel perfectly adequate carrying a 9mm although I do use 147gr Hollow points. The only gun that I will consider carrying ball ammo is my .45acp's. but this is just my opinion.
I definetly like my Mark II 6 7/8" bull barrel Gov Target much more than my Buckmark. I have had no problems with it yet but I have only had this one for about a month.
I have a Tactical and it is a great pistol. The only negative I can say si that they tend to muzzel flip more so than a Glock or a Sig. They are serious hard use overbuilt pistols. I would not hesitate to buy another.
