Why are AR-15's so expensive?
Why not build an AK-47? They're cheap to build and have much the same characteristics of the AR-15 within 300 yards which is far enough that most of us can't even identify a target. I can build an AK-47 or an AK-74 (5.45x39mm) in a weekend for about $300. The AK-47 I can build for about $150...- my-rifle

Yeah, the AR15's a good weapon for overall self-defense. Modular design and easy availability of ammo, plus a HUGE magazine makes it a good choice overall. I think, though that for home defense a shotgun or handgun would be easier to deal with. Also you can choose your ammo to reduce to...- my-rifle

My Truck Gun; Mosin 91/30, Marlin 336, Marlin 1894C, SKS, or SU 16?
Trunk gun Yes I know we're discussing truck guns, but I don't have a truck. I also realize you limited the selection to those guns you own, but I own Mosin-Nagants (M91/30, M38, M44), and I love shooting them all - at the range.
