Around here cell phone calls to 911 yield a busy signal almost all of the time.

Hmmm.....ya, Im in CA but out in the country. No neighbors within 1/4 mile or so. I certainly would never point a gun at anyone unless I was sure my life was in danger, but I want to make sure that walking outside to check up on something wont get me into trouble.......sounds like it wont.

I understand that there are certain situations where you can get yourself in trouble for exposing a firearm (w/o pointing it at anyone). Suppose that you walk out of your home to investigate a noise of some sort. If you are carrying a handgun, having it in the holster is pry a better way to go...

Howdy Im looking for some empty land where I can go and just do some plinking (.22, .30-06, shotguns)......I am in the Temecula area....... Any ideas? I dont want to have to pay for the range....any BLM land east of town? Is it as simple as getting out of city limits and earshot...

On the left side of the gun (near the trigger) there is a little action release button. Push this button in and open the action. It happens every time you load the gun the way you did. (by putting one in the chamber first)
