If we all had all the guns and ammo we needed, the demand would be zero thus the price of new would be zero.
And who said anything about murdering :what:cops and soldiers - besides jerkface that is ????????????
Krochus my fine Amigo - you are so volatile and negative at...
LOL! :D
If you call paying more money for cosmetic and "on-paper-only" so-called "improvements", then I guess Tex1911 is right. If you call worrying about parts for guns that haven't broken since 1911, then I guess Tex1911 is right.
If you call hundreds or thousands of Americans...
As Woof (et al) opine... the small game is pretty much 20ga. shotgun territory. It really doesn't have to be fancy or expensive either. :)
As Horsemany points out... Savage has made many good rifles over the passed century and rightfully enjoys an excellent reputation today. Their models...
The .270 has long been described as "flat-shooting". That came about because when the .270 was introduced (1925) other calibers were slowwer and thus had more rise and fall in their trajectory. The term is less significant today because many calibers shoot as "flat", or more so than the .270...
Here is sort of an example of the possibilities...
Yesterday I visited a shooting range that used to be more of a gun shop. But now they just want to do the range and gunsmithing business. They had about 10 guns for sale - all "trade-ins" from special orders.
Among the guns were two...
Anyone with experience, opinion, or thoughts on the Taurus 645 ????
That's the "bobbed hammer" model.

"what about the US gun makers? you would deny them too???"
What do we need them for ? :scrutiny: To overcharge us for things we don't need ? :uhoh:To continually drive up the price of used guns? :cuss: NOT !!:banghead:
"I predict thread lockage before post 33 anyone care to take...
As long as any country has an army or a police force there will be SOMEone SOMEwhere making new guns.
Even if all the gunmakers and gun sellers in the world closed up shop today there are still enough used guns in the U.S. for each of us to have a couple dozen.
Even if all the...
Small game is just that - one shot-one meal. Only 365 meals in a year may not even be survivable.
Deer can be more than one meal per shot, but how many more? How long will you keep the meat from each deer edible?
And an all meat diet gets old fast, and can bring on digestive problems...
Getting two rifles in calibers as close to each other as .308 and .30/06 is really, really hard to understand. You could get the .30/06 and then set up a GREAT reloading rig for FAR less than the cost of another rifle and scope. The .30/06 can be loaded down to below -.308 levels for targets and...
Hi Tipoc...
Yes, the "hump" is the "recoil shoulder"; intended to aid in pulling the trigger DA straight back into the web between thumb/forefinger and in forcing the recoil straight back into the web to hasten sight acqusition for successive shots.
I wondered about the...
Woof....
I had a beautiful RSI in .243. With my handloads it would stay slightly under MOA nearly all the time. It did not liked to be warmed up much though.
And speaking of neat rifles - I jst saw a #1 listed on Gunbroker chambered for 7.62x39 :what: How cool would THAT be ?!:)...
Not to be a wet blanket but the scope is not a high-value name item (even if it is, in fact, good quality - and someone IS taking a risk on the scope being faulty. And too, the .308 is not even remotely close to being everyone's favorite target/varmint gun.
I keep the bipod and sell the rest...
