    How important are aesthetics?

Yes...and all sorts of stuff goes in to make a gun shootable, easy to carry, pleasing to look at , have the right feel along with accuracy. So...did I say every thing wrong when I posted? I was only thinking a bit of the various guns I've seen. To MANY, my guns are far too plain to even consider...

    do you clean your 22lr?

I took the mod. 60 to the range last week. Had a few problems so I cleaned it. First time in four years...at least that. I do not shoot it every time, but often enough to not wait so long. It was pretty gritty. Mark

    Would my AR blow up?

My friend gave me a bag of brass (several shooters at his farm home range). as I sorted I spotted an odd looking case. It was split, badly bulged except the 1/4 inch at the case head. The neck was in a stepped appearance. I compared it to one of the .35 Rem. cases and I think it was shot in the...

    Laser checkering an old stock.

For myself, I really liked the suggestion from Lone Goose! Get a piece of wood similar to your stock and practice. Sure to enhance your feelings for the rifle...looking at YOUR checkering every time you handled the rifle. And, you could show us another pic when you complete your project ! Mark

    How important are aesthetics?

I've heard it said..."life is too short to shoot an ugly gun." Thats fun to say but that gun has to do its job...shoot accurately...or its just a piece of wall art. Nice to look at, but, I buy a gun to shoot. Mark

Your cheapest brand new shotgun you bought?

In the mid seventies I bought, from K-Mart, a Boita, 12 ga, O/U. I think it was $170 . I saw the same gun 20 years later...about the same price. Mark

What have you bought handguns related in the last two days?

Odd you should ask. I picked up my Colt Govt. .45 from my new friend/gunsmith. He installed a Wilson "Bullet Proof" ambi safety. South-paw issues...you know how it is. Then I had to do some rework on my holster, ( just made it last week! ), to accommodate the safety. Mark

    What is your EDC gun?

Not sure when I started carrying it but the only carry I use, ( maybe 12 years ), is a S&W mod 4553 TSW...DAO. Mark

Cowboy draw/shoot: Boy do I suck........

I'd like to add....fast draw...if you get fast...will break guns. Might want to get good at replacing parts. In one of his videos, Bob Munden stated that you'll never achieve real speed unless the gun is cocked while in the holster. Let me say right here...I've never tried any of this...and...

    Case prep centers...

Thanks for all the input! tcoz is right with me as far as my reasons for this thread. I'm not "there" but I can feel the problems coming on in my hands...so I'm thinking I should look closer at these machines. Figure out what will help the most extending my reloading. At 67 I still enjoy...
