    Renaissance Wax how to?

You don't want any oil on the surfaces you will apply the Ren wax. Use a minimal amount of wax. You can take a little bit of wax, warm it a little bit using your fingers, and apply in a circular motion. Let dry for a bit, wipe off, then buff. Again, use VERY little wax. I use it all the...

Will Kleenex Trap Moisture in a Barrel?

Nope. Mud Daubers could care less about anything foul smelling. All they care about is finding a small hole or corner to build their nest in. I've found them in SEALED boxes that happened to have a tiny gap in a corner for them to crawl into. The good thing is that they rarely sting, they just...

Will Kleenex Trap Moisture in a Barrel?

SW TN Non insulated, non heated, non cooled, 2300 sq ft Steel walled shop Concrete slab PLENTY of humidity in the summer Plenty of cold in the winter 15ft ceilings to keep all that moisture in I don't get any hot/cold/moisture swings.

Will Kleenex Trap Moisture in a Barrel?

OK, I'm confused. Are you saying to take action against the mud wasps? If so, that's pretty funny.

Will Kleenex Trap Moisture in a Barrel?

Tape will surely trap the moisture. No good. In rethinking all the replies, I believe the best one is about the small piece of window screen. My thinking is to place it over the muzzle and secure it with a rubber band. Wasps can't get in, moisture can get out, and shooting through it is not...

Will Kleenex Trap Moisture in a Barrel?

Thanks for all the replies, both sound and not so sound. I like the balloon over the muzzle idea, and that is likely what I will go with. As to the shotgun itself, it will be one of the Winchester Super X which is hard chromed.

Will Kleenex Trap Moisture in a Barrel?

Getting a marine duty shotgun to keep in the shop. Need to block the muzzle with something so that mud wasps don't make a home in the barrel. Thinking about taking a tissue and lightly stuffing it in the tube, but concerned that the moisture from hot to cold, humidity, etc, will form in...

Do You Open Carry or Seen Others Do It in MS or AL?

Interesting. It is absolutely a company policy, but it seems some stores choose to ignore the policy. Nashville & Brentwood are posted (with non-legal) signs.

Not looking to get into a caliber battle, but do some research on wound cavity.

1911 lust...what is it about them???

Pretty simple. They are easier to carry than most pistols even when said pistols are smaller, and a .45ACP makes a much bigger hole than a 9mm. As for you experience with crappy triggers, mags that don't feed, slides that don't lock, etc., also pretty simple......... You get what you pay for...

Do You Open Carry or Seen Others Do It in MS or AL?

2 questions: Is the Costco in Huntsville not posted at the entrance? Do "illegal" signs like Costco posts carry the weight of law in AL? I ask because in TN, all the Costcos are posted with the generic "No weapons allowed" sign, but those "Illegal" signs do not carry any weight in TN...

    S&W 642 or 638?

Thanks, but I have a .380 pocket gun that is fine, but is certainly not a .38, no matter how you slice it. And BTW, if you are using the sights on a pocket gun that small, you are doing it wrong. For everyone else, thanks.

    S&W 642 or 638?

So the rounded rear of the 638 doesn't conceal any better than the "cut" rear of the 642? Reason for getting this gun is that while I love my LCR (and its massive trigger guard), that huge grip just makes it stand out in my not so big size 34 jeans pockets. I love it when the bigger guys go...

    S&W 642 or 638?

OK, so looking for opinions from those of you that own/owned both the 642 & the 638. Difference being the 638 has a rounded rear and the 642 has the semi-rounded rear. From a pocket concealment point of view, which conceals better?

Dan Wesson Valor or Les Baer

Personally, the choice is easy. Both brands are built to high standards, both brands generally garner positive comments. The deciding factor is the well known lack of customer service offered by Baer. If I have an issue with my Dan Wesson, I know it will be addressed quickly and with a smile...

    Handgun Shipping Help Needed ASAP

As far as understanding, how many posts have been posted here about a manufacturer or dealer saying it was OK, including the ones who told me the same thing? Are they ignorant of the laws or just don't care? Or maybe they don't "comprende"either.

    Handgun Shipping Help Needed ASAP

So yet again, there is a vast argument for and against. And yet again, the post office has proven that their regulations are confusing at best. Personally, I went with choice C. Go to my LGS and ask him to mail it for me so I don't get a vacation to Club Fed.

    Handgun Shipping Help Needed ASAP

I know that is absolutely wrong. I know this because I have an 03. The handgun MUST qualify as an antique according to USPS definition of an antique. An 03 FFL holder can mail any qualifying C&R according to Federal law, but unless it is an antique as defined by USPS, you are violating...
