Got a concealed carry question for you experienced

There are lots of small guns. However, if you learn to dress around your gun... An you will learn to change your habits, then you can carry almost any gun you wish. Get a good belt made for carrying a gun, not some cheap designer belt. Good holsters do wonders for concealing a handgun. I'd say...

    small guns, big bore ccw....

I've owned both Glock 19 and 36. They fit the same holsters of that tells you anything. And... I still prefer carrying a Glock 26. Since I rarely carry an extra mag, I just like having 11 rounds in the gun, even if they are 9mm. Oh, and it's still lighter than a Redhawk 44 mag :)

I REALLY tried to hate the Glock 27, but couldn't.

    best hillbilly gun

kwhi43 If it only had a rail for a tactical flashlight. Either way, it probably needs a Volquartsen clothespin to smooth out the action. Redneck or hillbilly?

    First .308 purchase. Any suggestions?

I have a Remington Model Seven in 308 that I love to hunt with. Accurate and easy to handle since it's shorter that the 700s. If I were to buy new today, I'd probably go with Tikka. However, I have another 308, a. Browning BLR that's good too, but not a bolt action to suite your preference.

    Best Deer Cartridge.

270 or 308 for me. My main rifle the past 10 years is a Remington Model Seven in 308. I like the short action. It kills 'em just as dead as my old single shot 270. Use whatcha got. If you got nothing, then get something. Go hunting.

    help picking first handgun

My first handgun was a Ruger GP100. I lived in CO and wanted something I could carry camping and keep in the truck. However, for self defense around the home with the alternative use for target shooting, my vote is for a 9mm. Price range, I think you can't go wrong with a Glock 19. If you...
