Started researching the 642/442 for purchase and found this thread.
WOW! What a great resource for people looking to purchase a 442 or 642.
I read all 8 pages straight through. Thanks to everyone.
Next time at the gun shop, I'm looking for a 442.
I have a Smith & Wesson SW99 in .40 S&W on my nightstand and a Rem 870 under the bed.
My wife has a Walther P99 in 9mm on her nightstand and a Rem 870under her side of the bed.
My Kershaw Leek also rattles when it's open, although it's only done it after about 6 months. Still don't have any other problem with it. It lock up fine and the A/0 still works great. I don't worry about it.
I too recommend the Kershaw Blur. I have the s30v version which is a bit more than you are willing to spend, but you can get the regular version for around $50.
Wolverine is actually the opposite. His character in the comics is much smaller than Hugh Jackman. Wolvie in the comics in just over 5' ft tall. While Jackman in around 6' ft.
I prefer the new look, and I have two of them.
I think they are one of the best "looking" guns out there.
But if I found one of the older styles for sale, I would buy it in a second.
