Also the longest barrel for the 627 is currently 4 inch that I found on their Smith Wesson website. I filtered on capacity = 8 and caliber = 357. I did not see the 5 inch barrel that you have which I prefer a long barrel for this purchase.
I do see it exists on the California compliant...
Strange that the Pro Series

costs $300 less than this one

It is hard for me to compare the differences in my phone but will look at it on my...
Thanks for the details.
In the video that Stanley posted, most of those folks are using the model 627 and can be mounted with a sight.
Would you know the differences between these three 627?

I think the only thing difference between a 627 and the 327 (trr8) is the frame material right?
627 is made for durability while the 327 is made for light weight carrying?
This is currently not California compliant:

What is the chance of this becoming California compliant? Not sure why it did not make it to the compliant list in the first place while...
Pat, that is good info on how Smith & Wesson took care of the burr for you. I did not know the internal designs are different between the GP100 and RedHawk. I love the RedHawk 44 mag. It was the first revolver that I fired 20 years ago that lead me to buy the GP100.
LabNoti, thank you so...
Pat,
If you already have a 327 Night Guard, the 327 TRR8 would be a similar revolver? They just came out with the "SUPER GP100" which is a 8 round capacity. From the other forums, it is supposed to be another RedHawk. However, the Super GP100 may not be California compliant since I have...
You are awesome Pat. Honestly, I was researching on the RedHawk last night too.
I was going to post this video to you since you are in the market for the TRR8 as well.
If I go the Smith & Wesson route, I will probably go with the MP R8. Well, I like both. All of my firearms are mostly...
FYI.. In the case that I do not move forward with the MP R8, then I will put this quest (357 & 8 rounds) on hold and keep my GP100.
since I still want to get a firearm at that time, I may look into something else since I have a few more items on my list including a 1911, Smith Wesson 500 and a...
I have made an appointment with my local gun shop to checkout the MP R8 in a few weeks. I will update everyone one on my decision after I see it in person. I have gotten good information to point me in the right direction. :):)
George, you are right on the ability of removing the internal...
Ohen and Pat,
I appreciate both of your inputs and good intentions on my questions. The details that have been provided by all have helped me on this subject by helping see things from different angles.
Now it is just a matter of preference that will fit my needs.
I am buying this for home...
