CZ Kadet with 9mm top end

Do the kadet hammers weigh less than the standard cz hammers? Perhaps the firing pin return spring is too heavy for the kadet hammer to overcome? Also, do the kadets have firing pin blocks?

    Zeroing fixed sights?

As was stated earlier, rear fixed sights are drift adjustable for windage, but for elevation, you'd have to file down either the front or rear sight to achieve poi=poa. Better have someone else shoot it before you do that. (ask me how I know)

    Grain info

Heavier grain bullets tend to penetrate better, due to their greater momentum, however they travel at lower velocities and, if propelled at the same velocities as lighter bullets, will generate more recoil. Lighter bullets, on the other hand, tend to fly faster, and have less recoil, at the...

    My Dad's .45

There is an excellent gunsmith at Coal Creek Armory on Dutchtown Rd. in Knoxville. There are also a number of 1911 enthusiasts there who I'm sure would love to look at your pistol.

    1911?

Rock Island Tactical sounds like it fits the bill as is. Below 5 bills and has the features you want.

    38 Smith & Wesson round

A .38 spl round should not fit into a gun marked for .38 s&w. Even if it does, DO NOT fire it.

Only one at the range today

I love being the only one at the range, cause when that happens, the tracers come out of my range bag :)

Are there any NEW guns out there that really

+1 on the Ruger LCP. Had a kel-tec and traded it. I might go down to the local money pit (gun store) and have a looksee at one.

    How is Blazer .22lr Ammo?

I've had pretty good luck with this stuff. The 40 grn. rnl. shoots great in my mkIII and my Marlin mod. 60.

Anybody CCW the CZ75 full size all steel pistol?

I do. I carry mine owb in a ross gunleather 3-slot. works good in the vertical position, tends to peek out under my shirt if I wear it canted forward. I've also carried it iwb in a streched out 1911 holster from Bianchi. Hope this helps.

    Scoped the mosin

Thanks for the feedback, guys. Franco, our receivers must be different, as I've got a great deal more clearance than you did, but that's a good tip that I'll keep in mind if I ever scope another. Deth, thats funny. I'm a college student again for the moment, and I didn't realize I'd left...

    Scoped the mosin

I bedded the scope base with a steel epoxy to increase contact with the receiver after hearing of mounts shooting loose. A whole buncha loctite doesn't hurt either.

    Scoped the mosin

Anybody done up their own rifles in a similar fashion?

    Scoped the mosin

hopefully she'll soot better with new ammo than she does now, but I'm not hoping for tack-driving here, just "minute of coyote"

    Scoped the mosin

Hey all, I finally bit the bullet and scoped my mosin. It's a '39 Tula parts gun with an ATI scope base and a wally world special scope. The bolt handle I did myself. It started as a grade 8 3/8" bolt that I bent and soldered into the bolt body before replacing the original knob. The stock...

Poll: Do you keep more than 1 loaded gun in the bedroom?

1 Maverick 88 12 ga. 3rds. of 3" magnum 00buck, 1 chopped romanian sks 30 rds. 125 gr. sp and whatever pistol I'm carrying at the time. If all else fails, I'll skewer them with my 91/30's bayonet, hopefully pinning them to the wall, and buying me time to escape. :)

    flat MSH

i bought one, and replaced it with a les baer shortly thereafter. Not impressed with the quality, and the "checkering" was rolled on and off center at that.

    Supressor for .45?

Hehe, I gotcha :) I hear wet-style cans tend to be the quietest, but they're messy due to the grease/water filler, but I think gemtech? makes a dry can for .45's and threaded bbls can be had easily for glocks. I'm sure someone will come by soon who is more knowledgeable about this subject...

    Supressor for .45?

Man, you NEED hearing protection. Go and buy a couple packs of those cheap foam earplugs and stash some in your car, and your range bag/gun case and even squash them flat and carry a couple sets in your wallet. I don't know how your hearing is now, but if you keep that up, it'll be worse for...
