The Zems do quite well with loud guns. They are used widely for trap shooting. I use them while shooting my 454 Casull. It doesn't get much louder than a 12 GA. or 454. BTW Mr Highland Ranger, 44 mags are pretty weak. I'd hate to face an Alaskan Grizzly with just that.

Those look interesting, but I'd be a little worried about the max 22 rating. The chart for the zems show at certain frequncies it muffles in the high 30's.
