    Shot timers and split times

The Pact mk IV (the big old one with the chrono) has Rate of Fire mode. It may top out at 600 round per minute. I think it switches over to three decimal places. in that mode.

That means it won't be a drop in part. Take a look at the frame here on the "drop-in" tab. http://www.blindhogg.com/gunsmith/beavertails.html Notice that the frame "tangs"...the frame area behind the thumb safety...like your's, is kind pointed. a 0.250 radius, on the other hand, is...

    Ipda Vs Ipsc

The G19 is the way to go. Good for USPSA Production Division and IDPA Stock Service Pistol Division. Non-race holster worn on the side (no appendix). In both of the above divisions, mag capacity is limted to 10+1. In IDPA, you want at least 3 mags. In USPSA, you likely want 5 mags...

Is there something special about 40 S&W?

I see no advantage...whatsoever...in the gun shown for competition shooting. It's not a good choice in 40. If you can't find that gun in 9mm, then try to see if you can get a very similar gun from Tangfolio. Get in touch with Henning Walgren...he has his finger on the pulse of Tangfolio...

    (IPSC or IDPA) layout?

woodstock, Where are you located? Each general area will have a local representative that can help you with the process of starting a new club. I am the Ohio Section Coordinator for USPSA, for instance.

My S&W 952 for steel challenge, I have questions.

Where are you shooting Steel Challenge in Ohio? Circleville? (952...hmmm, is this Skip?) The divisions at the Circleville match are: - Stock Auto (non open guns) - Open Auto (red dots or comps/port) - Stock Revolver - Open Revolver - .22 rimfire - .22 rimfire Open -...

    USPSA Classification ?

Hmmm...I'm not sure about that, Yar. I thought, as long as you were still in the database, they kept your classifier scores. (and, I don't think they clear out the database) Tinstafl ... if you send me your info, I can look you up. (I can do so with just a last name on the Section...

Winter rim fire match in Columbus Ohio

It is directly across from the Varsity Club on Lane Ave. If you are coming from 315, head east...it is the 4th building on the right (south) after crossing the bridge. The range is in the basement of what I think is the ROTC building.

    Competition Taking Over Gun Club

Here is the deal on putting steel out and leaving it out...at "close range". Somebody will shoot it with their rifle. It will get dinged up. Nobody will be around to catch the person that did it willingly...nor inform the person that did so without the knowledge that it wasn't a good idea...

    Competition Taking Over Gun Club

Clearly you aren't being allowed to do what you want to do...and what you feel you ought to be allowed to do. The flip side of that is...every range I have been to has had steel targets ruined. As I understand it, it take special steel (T1 or 500) to stand up to high powered rifle...
