You evidently never came across a tiger in the jungle. I did one night in 1969 going up a hill while on patrol. It's roar was terrifying. I immediately had my platoon angle off to the right and got out of there fast.
Spring of 1969 in Vietnam. My Platoon took a couple of sniper rounds from a treeline about 200 meters away while crossing a rice paddy, both misses. I saw a branch move and aimed and fired my M16. I saw another branch move about 5' from the first branch and I aimed and fired again. I got my...
<<"Imagine a small group of soldiers unleashing full-auto fire as they come over a hilltop.">>
You've been watching too many movies.
From the Marine Corps Riflemans Creed:
"My rifle and I know that what counts in this war is not the rounds we fire, the noise of our burst, nor the smoke...
The Keltec P3AT and the Ruger LCP are hard to beat for easy concealment. They just drop right in a front jeans pocket. They are very light in weight and no safety to deal with. They do have that long trigger pull though which is actually what makes them safe to carry with a round in the chamber...
As far as concealed carry of blackpowder pistols, I think Federal law is being confused with State CCW laws. Federal Law does not consider blackpowder firearms a firearm as far as regulation is concerned. You can ship them directly from one person to another, withour regulation as far as Federal...
KSCharlie says: "So, no, you don't just hand a guy a gun, take money from guy and walk away. This would not be a smart way to sell a gun anywhere you happen to live, not just Illinois."
That just isn't true at all in a lot of States. In Florida it is 100% legal for one Florida resident to...
1/4" pegboard comes in white in 4' X 8' sheets from Home Depot, Lowes, etc. For hanging handguns from the trigger guard I use the 1" curved hooks and dip the curved part in liquid rubber for coating things like the handles of pliers. I got it at Ace Hardware. I also use the plastic retainers...
I had a blued one for a while, I bought it used although it didn't appear to have been shot a lot. It would machine gun more times than not. I replaced the hammer and sear and it was OK after that, although I didn't shoot it a lot. I later read where the blued ones had a flaw, they had a soft...
Beware of the blued ones, I don't remember exactly what part it is, but I remember reading they have a part that is too soft and it wears out quickly, and Colt had no repair for it. I had one of the govt. model .380's in blue that I bought used but it looked like new. It machine gunned when I...
The Lucid uses one AAA battery which makes it nice. Lucid also has the new M7 Micro Dot which, last I heard, comes out in May. This would probably be better for an AK. The current HD7 is made for the AR platform and sits too high if mounted on an AK.
remove silicone from anything you will find that it's almost impossible.
Must be the water in your area. I use silicone cloths and I have never had any of the problems you mention. Actually it's a lot less messy than oil.
regarding different weapons people brought to your CHL class?
In Florida, I guess we're lucky, if you have a DD-214 form that shows you were in the military at some time, you don't have to take any CHL class. Just get finger printed and submit the paperwork.
You can put 1/4" peg board on the inside of the safe door and use 1" hooks to hang pistols from the trigger guard. Dip the hooks into a liquid rubber coating that you can get at a hardware store. This will keep the metal hooks from scratching the trigger guard. You should be able to hang about...
