I purchased a Randall no 1 yesterday. The owner had his name engraved on it so I found him and had the deputy sheriff go to his home and have him call me. He described the knife to me and I'm certain it's his. I bought it for one of our sons and gave it to him last night as yesterday the...
I've had this SP 101 since the 90's (early on), but never shot it until today. On the 5th round something hit me in my forehead. It was the barrel which broke off at the threads. I was shooting Factory W/W 110 jhp .357 magnums. I was lucky it didn't hit me in the eye. I was about 3 feet...
I have a Williams receiver sight that I got cheap along with 2 fiber optic front sights for a 336 Marlin. All of my hunting rifles are scoped and I thought it might be a good idea to have one with irons. I realize it will not be as good as a scope in low light conditions, but I feel this combo...
I just bought an old Weaver 2.5x post & crosshair scope and I'm looking for input as to which rifle to mount it on. I have a non vintage single shot .22 that I shoot quite a bit or a .22 Hornet that hardly gets shot at all.
Does anyone know if the new S & B ammo has sealant on the primer. I just bought some and I can't tell. The old S & B was smeared on that you could easily see it.
Has anyone experienced light primer strikes (failures to fire) with their Shield? I am sending one back to S & W per their instructions. It was purchased not long after they came out.
When I was about 18 I went bear hunting by myself in the Big Gum Swamp in Sept. of 72. I had with me my rifle and some spare cartridges, a pocket knife, a pack of smokes and some matches. That was all I had. I was walking on a trail so I knew I would not get lost. Several hours before dark I...
I just saw some new production S & B pistol ammo from the Checz Republic and I see they no longer seal their primers. I checked several calibers and none were sealed. I remember when most handgun ammo was sealed and those who were extra proud of their ammo would really smear it on.
What size rb should I use for a .36 Pietta cap and ball? I need to order some and I think it's the .35 but I want to be sure. Can anyone advise as to a good supplier?
I have a chance to buy it. It's got an 8 3/8" barrel and is 98% easily. No box or paperwork though. A widow woman has it and I'm just trying to figure out a fair price for both of us. Help is appreciated.
My son has a chance to buy a really nice shape Ruger MK II in .30-06 series 787 with a matching stainless Leupold VX2 3x9 scope. This is from a widow and I'm thinking that $550 would be a fair offer. It has the older paddle stock. Is this a fair offer?
I have my Father in Law's old shotgun. The forearm is held together by two nuts and bolts. The front sight is gone and it's got some honest wear and rust. I got to looking at it and actually found the serial number on the water mark. It was made in Ct prior to 1918. My inlaws were very poor...
I have never owned a 10-22, and I have been on the fence about getting one. The td model has it's advantages over the standard ones I think, but I'm looking for feedback. I have been on Gunbroker and the prices are all over the place.
Botach has the Mesa Tactical Urbino od green pistol grip stock and forearm on sale for $40. plus $8. shipping. I ordered one and it came yesterday. They even included a limbsaver recoil pad. The stock is about 2" shorter which is about as close to perfect for me as I can expect as the Benelli...
