I have to agree with everyone else who has said that you should report this, contact an attorney, AND if it happens again never consent to a search. Good luck, and I hope it doesn't happen again.
I'd prefer to open carry, unfortunately I can only to that on my own property. Elsewhere I can ONLY conceal. I don't mind people knowing I have a gun. Most don't. The few that due won't be surprised by it, but I won't be expecting them to be either.
In about two weeks I'll be moving onto some property I inherited from my father and I'll be able to do my shooting on my own land. Here in Alabama a lot of people do their shooting in 'the strip pits' as they are called locally (large areas of lands strip mined for coal). For the longest time...
Front left pocket for my 1911 mag. If you have a thicker mag and often where a jacket, I've heard one in each front jacket pocket is a good place, plus it helps keep the jacket down in wind so your gun isn't exposed.
I have between 4k and 8k in firearms, probably another k in accessories and ammo. I think it's relative too. Some guns can do as much damage with a bolt action rifle as a squad of marines can with M4s and M16s.
I can take three. Can't say I have a problem with it. Three is enough for me to eat for a good long while...that's if I actually take three, which I probably won't.
I can't do it myself. I find that I'm always tensed for an attack from behind. I'm going to stay alert no matter what, but I'm so focused on what may be going on behind me that I stop paying attention to what I can actually see in front of me.
