    Chrono questions after first use...

Re-test with a sheet of construction paper over the entire top of the assembly and down the sides, extend it a foot beyond and a foot before shielding it from the flourescent lights. I'm betting lights.

Pistol Quick Kill - up on you tube

Lets all try this. At your range focus on your sights on a target @ 10 yds. with your favorite 2 hand grip. Now run towards the target as fast as possible while watching your sights. Do it again strong hand only. Report back with an honest assessment of your results.:scrutiny:

    Smokey 38 Specials

Are you using a good roll crimp? Sometimes to little crimp releases the bullet early reducing pressure and mimicking lower pressure rounds. Are the cases sooty down the sides like bunny fart loads? If they are verify your scale and powder. If not check your cyl/barrel gap. This seems...

    Smokey 38 Specials

4gr of #2 is max W/158gr SWC and I use this load myself. Smoke - yes but you should not have a lot of soot. Maybe some grains of unburned powder from that 1 7/8" barrel but not a lot of soot. what is your OAL? How do they feel power wise?

    Smokey 38 Specials

What weight and type of bullet? How much #2? Fired in 38 or 357? Lead bullets will smoke. To low of a powder charge will give a poor seal in the chambers.

"They were well known for cracked frames as they were alum. alloy." Most of the 'cracked' frames were just above the slide lock opening in the slide, rearward from the slide stop pin. Early versions would crack in this thin area from frame flex, scared people but did not cause problems. Later...

While it doesn't meet the DA/SA criteria, it does take two distinct actions for the 1st shot vs single action follow ups. take a look at H+K P7s. Fast-Flat-Accurate:

Just how hot does a handgun get?

Shot a 3 gun local match with a P7M13 only. Knew it would get hot,but wanted to prove I was a "real man". Final stage was 76 rds,and when done I had to get permission to leave the pistol @ slidelock on the shotgun rack to cool. Took 3 weeks for the burns on my trigger finger to heal and 5 weeks...

Is the P7 all it's been cracked up to be?

Hmmmm? Not indexed on a threat, cocking and holding/pulling trigger at same time,--gun goes bang in an unintended direction. Gunman problem, NOT a gun problem.

    dry fire P7?

I dry fire all of my P7s[any firearm] to function test after reassembly. Also I shoot in IDPA and it is required after a stage ends, as well as IPSC. On Glocks you have to dry fire to disassemble, and the original Glock box required the trigger to be back to insert the pistol. [ Haven't looked...
