    Daisy 747 grips

Thank you for your post. Your comment about the available left handed set of grips is quiet interesting since they are available and priced right. I received a model 717 for Christmas last year and I have truly enjoyed it, but with the thumb rest ,shooting is pretty much limited to right hand only.

    Herco powder

You might try accessing the older Lyman manuals especially their older cast bullet handbook for powder load information. I used this powder back in the 70s for my Smith & Wesson model 29. using this old powder will be your call. It you decide to make the leap, you might consider using the...

    Old Lyman Spartan press

In my opinion a Lyman spartan is a good solid press. I was interested in reloading when a teenager and my brother did some trading and got me a slightly used Spartan. This was around 1969. I started reloading for the .22-250 cartridge for my Remington 788 bolt action rifle. When reloading...

For those who started with a Single Stage, Press, Share the details.

My brother knew I was interested in reloading for my rifle. He traded a fellow a buzz box welder for a Lyman spartan press. This was in 1969 and I have been loading my own ever since.

Looking for a place to shoot

You might check with your local gun clubs and see what is required for you to particpate in a match using your 22 rifle. Our club has a match called a fun match. Usually there is a pre- match safety meeting and shooting for checking your sights. Practice is great anywhere you can find it. It...

    NRA Targets

Just a suggestion. You can do a search on the internet for "free targets". You should find a similar target that you can print and use as a master to print what you need from a copier. Good Luck!

What clever little things have you "invented or discovered" that you can share?

I use my rockchucker press primarily for depriming shells. I too had trouble with spent primers even with the catcher in place. I took a plastic coke bottle and cut the back out of it. The neck fits over my depriming die and the remaining bottle fits snug against the primer catcher and the spent...
