mine has a flip up butt plate and was told it was there for use in f/a prone position. Im gonna try and mount a scope to it, see how well it shoots.

All of the info above is sound, IMO. I load 5 per bullet/powder combo. I am bleased with my own range so loading for a few hours gives me a few hours on the range in a day.

how about mini-14 mags in a mini-30. I know a 14 mag will hold the ammo.

mini 30. buy 20 mags for it and u might find 1 that fits and feeds. love mine but its the mags that will drive you nuts
