I recently purchased a used 590 and with 2 3/4 00 buck it only holds 7 in the tube. I always thought that the 590's held 8+1. Or was this only on a few?

Sounds like the barrel link is binding. You might have him try inserting a small screwdriver tip inside the slide stop hole and try moving the link real easy.

The only problem I had with the function of the gun NIB was the result of a loose FPS which let the extractor clock which was easily corrected. This let some rounds have extracting problems. Other than that, all other changes were made because I wanted them changed. As far as improvement...it...

Yessir...the front strap will get some treatment to match the Ed Brown MSH. Since the work, I have put 500rds thru it. At 25 yards I am getting great 1 to 1.5" groups.

Sorry I didnt get back sooner. The class was good. Kind of boring. I did good. Scored a 15 out of 15 on the written. Only had 1 shot out of the Bullseye of the sillohette. That was on the 5 shots in 10 seconds. Had a little stray off about an inch out. Springfield XD 40 performed flawlessly...

Thanks for the reply saddlebum. I had heard that one class had you speed draw with 2 shots center mass and 1 in the head. At 25 and 40 yards. This was another state so I wasnt for sure if this was the standard or not. Did you take yours at Tulsa Firearms or somewhere else?
