    Reloading components around Columbus GA?

There is a pawn shop on Veteren's Parkway on the northbound side just before you get to the intersection of Hamilton Road that had pistol powder a couple of weeks ago. He also has a lot of primers and ammo (except for .22lr). It is right after Ray Rents and right before you get to Evangel...

    Help me Help you...

Here are my answers. 1. What features do you look for when purchasing once fired brass? Actually knowing brass was once-fired would be a feature. Knowing that the primers are not crimped (ie, 9mm, 5.56, 7.62, etc.) would be a great feature. 2. Would you rather buy the brass "dirty" or...

Problems with Zero 147 gr 9mm FMJ bullets?

Thanks everyone for your help. The bullets calipered out between .356 and .357. They are 9mm 147 grain bullets. Tried both a Lee and and Dillon sizing die with the same results. The OAL is 1.15, which is toward the upper end of the scale. The bulge does seem more pronounced with the WIN and...

Problems with Zero 147 gr 9mm FMJ bullets?

I just bought 4000 147 grain 9mm FMJ Zero bullets from Powder Valley and am having some issues that I have not seen before. I typically load 147 grain Berry plated bullets, but have read good things about the Zero bullets and since they were jacketed instead of plated, and not much more...

What tactical flashlight and mount for Mossy 590

I am looking for a tactical flashlight and mount for my Mossberg 590. I want something reliable but don't want the surefire forearm with the light built in. In fact I don't think that I want the light mounted to the forearm at all. I would rather it be mounted to the mag tube. I have read...

    10/22 accuracy problems

Thanks everyone. I have used cheap ammo such as walmart Federal 550 box, i have tried CCI mini mags, winchester dynapoints, Federal Auto match, and have tried expensive ammo such as Wolf match and Aguila match ammo. The cheap walmart Federals do better than anything else but still have constant...

    10/22 accuracy problems

I bought a 10/22 from Walmart a year or so ago and have had accuracy problems from the start. I didn't expect the rifle to be overly accurate out of the box but have put a lot of money and parts into the rifle and am still having the same issues. I am shooting at 50 yards off of a good bench...

    7.62 X 39 Brass....???

Cabelas has MFS 7.62x39 loaded ammo for $6.99 per box. These are boxer primed brass that are reloadable. The reviews looked good so i am going to try some. You can buy this loaded ammo almost as cheap as you can buy new or once fired brass so it is worth a try. Let me know if anyone has any...

    reloading supplies in middle GA?

Shooters in Columbus has a fairly good selection of reloading equipment and components, although they are priced higher than what you can order them online. They have a good assortment of powder, usually have bulk pistol bullets and .223 bullets, and they usually have primers. They carry some...

    Lee Turret Press ???

The old primers will pop out if you forget to put the primer arm in when sizing and decapping. Mine drops in the clear tube as described in the previous post and I very rarely have one that does not.

Best reloading supply shop in Georgia

Where are the best reloading supply shops in Georgia or in the Southeast? I live in Columbus and the only place that sells reloading supplies is Shooters. They have a good selection of powder and primers, but are limited for other components and equipment. I wouldn't mind driving to a shop...

lee pacesetter or lee deluxe die set for .270 win

Just remeber that the deluxe dies do not include the Lee Factory Crimp die but does include the neck sizer as well as the full length sizer. You can always buy the FCD seperately.

    Lee turret and adding powder

Cabela's also has a classic turret kit. I just bought one a few weeks ago and it is great. It takes a few sessions to get used to the primer system, but once you do it goes smoothly. See the link below...
