I need to replenish some 45's and see RMR has some in stock now! If someone could pass along the secret code that would be wonderful. If not I'll order some anyways!
Thanks
Brad
I've been using one shot for awhile now. I put a couple of handfuls of 223 in a small container and spray a few seconds worth. I put the lid on and tumble it a few times. Never a problem and runs smooth.
I had the exact thing happen to me with my reloads. It never happened with factory ammo. The brass split all the way around right at the middle of the case. The back half ejected but the front half stayed in the chamber. The next round loaded into the front half. I checked my reloads and the...
headspace
I had a similar situation with one of my AR's. I fired factory federal .223 and it was fine. I reloaded that same ammo and I started having the same issues as you. It happened 3 times in about 30 rounds. I took my rifle to the local gun smith and he checked the headspace and he...
Spray a little lube in the rollers. My tumbler use to need a little help to get moving but after I lubed the rollers it starts without any help indicating that the friction has been greatly reduced. It may help the squealing.
One of my shell plates was dragging at one spot during the rotation causing it not to fully index at this spot. I took a sander and took a little off where it was rubbing. It now works fine. I thought it was the Pawls but I already adjusted them on my previous 2 shell plates and they were...
I picked up a hornady classic kit for $259 at sportsmans warehouse. That's the best price I've seen on that kit. I added die sets and the necessary items and it has worked out well for me.
I had a similar issue with my ar15. I was using once fired LC brass, fired from my ar15. I had the same type of case separation as the pic above shows. I had 2 of them in 20 rounds. I brought the gun to the local gunsmith and he checked the chamber and found that it was over spec. He said...
Sounds like they made it right! That's good to hear.
Did they have their "Take a number" Wheel working? Last time I was there they had the wheel but no numbers for it. One of the workers said it had been empty for 2 months, which is when it was installed. You have to go during the week...
I order from mastercast.net also. I've shot a few hundred so far and all is great. I ordered another 1000 rounds a few weeks ago! Sending in the spent brass should save a few $ on the next order.
I have one just like that and it is beautiful! I did notice on the 22lr's that if you shoot all six and then try to fire the 7th it leaves a bigger dimple, wedges it in more, on the rim of that round. This makes it harder to eject that round. I've learned to count to six now:)
Mine has the last 3 #'s of the serial number in the same spot danjet500 described. It looks like someone hand scribed them, they are pretty crude looking.
Good News
I just got back from a short vacation and the ammo was on the door step. I was pretty surprised. Everything looks excellent and they are mostly bagged in quantities of 50. There were 2 boxes of 50. Since I hadn't heard anything back for a bit I assumed they forgot. Like I said...
JAYDUBYA- I am also puzzled. I researched them on here and found that they had an excellent reputation. I'm sure it's just an honest miscommunication somewhere.
I'll check those other sites out you all have mentioned. The help is very much appreciated:)
Good to know. I like how you can buy smaller quantities so you can see what fits you best. I just don't want to buy 500 or 1000 of 1 type and find out I really don't care for it. It sounds like Georgia arms has a good reputation from some of the researching I've been doing.
Thanks,
Brad
Georgia arms looks like they have comparable prices on some of their 38spl ammunition. The 357 is a little higher but still less than retail. If all else fails they I may just try them out.
The bulkammo.com is actually the best shot ammo place I was mentioning in my initial post. They had...
