    Zeroing in a reflector sight

Almost perfect, thanks! "Ballistics calculator" means many things; what are the specific keywords besides the "optic height"?

    Zeroing in a reflector sight

Hi, This question has certainly been already answered; unfortunately, I don't have the command of the necessary terms. Sorry. I'm talking the sighting of an ordinary combat weapon here. Dealing with a sighted firearm, you deal with the mismatch between the barrel axis and the sight axis...

    A good Browning M1917/M2 animation

I've seen this. Not good enough, IMO. The Browning locks unlike any other machine gun, and the difference is important. You cannot see it here.

    A good Browning M1917/M2 animation

Next best thing, yes. Thanks! All the Browning machine guns since 1917 are one and the same thing, of course. Somehow nobody bothered to make a good animation of this landmark design. At least, I couldn't find anything.

    A good Browning M1917/M2 animation

Hi, Curiously, I couldn't find anything satisfactory on this gun. Help, please :) .

    Stone spearheads

Hi, I suspect that real world stone spearheads have to be rather small and dainty to be capable of any penetration at all. There's no problem googling all manner of spearheads, of course. Unfortunately, I've got real trouble finding pictures showing any scale. Any idea where/how to look is...

    Most visually-appealing cartridges.

The bottom line: I have yet to see an ugly one.

Impact energy of a projectile and how it relates to injury

Handgun Wounding Factors and Effectiveness This is the single most informative paper on the subject. Covers just handgun ammunition, but still excellent. And pretty short read, too.

    1.3 rounds per kill story

Hi, It's no great news: here, for instance. There's one catch I am not quite happy about: the rules of kill confirmation are draconian. So much so that for one confirmed kill there are several unconfirmed ones. The rounds expended on unconfirmed kills are just as good as your average ammo...

Detailed photo comparison of Glock 26 Gen 4 and M&P 9c

Generally no pics too, though a small percentage is present. The first one, for instance.

Why ugly? It's just a new breed of handgun.

    Feed ramp design

The idea never crossed my mind. It's like asking a microwave oven manufacturer's customer service about magnetron physics.

    Feed ramp design

No wonder. What part of "unless reliable feeding is the highest design priority" can't you understand? There's more than one way to skin a cat. Makarov was designed along with its ammo. And it's quite unlike any other (ammo, that is).

    Feed ramp design

Of course it isn't. But so far as I know, the Glock is essentially a government issue design. You just get issued with your ammo; it's highly unlikely to be a special load, yet in all probability there's nobody to complain to about unreliable feeding. Worse still, army types/field agents don't...

    Feed ramp design

Somehow, the point has managed to escape me again. It's not about how the 'scoops' are made. It's about why, in case I haven't made myself clear enough. Besides, ku4hx, the 'scoops' on your pic look nowhere near as pronounced as on the original pic. Is it just 'photography'?

    Feed ramp design

Could you be more specific? Do you mean, "if the unsupported area underneath is big enough, you might as well scoop out right and left a bit without making it any worse; meanwhile, chambering becomes easier (or whatever)"?

    Feed ramp design

There's a picture of a Glock 30 cracked barrel, http://www.thehighroad.org/attachment.php?attachmentid=185469&d=1371691586 from this thread: http://www.thehighroad.org/showthread.php?t=720095 I'd like to learn why there are two converging 'slips' on the ramp, as if the mag were...

    Cracked barrel in Glock 30s

I mean, there seem to be two converging 'slips' on the ramp, left and right, as if the mag were rifle type, 'double stack all the way up'.

Why "full double stack" feed ramp?
