I did go there today for the CMP clinic (wanted to shoot my M1), and I have to say that everyone there was great. Not a bad apple amongst them.
Of course, I was in the first shoot, they might have gotten testy by the time the third one rolled around. :)
From what I have been able to find out, it is ~$600 the first year and ~$300/yr after that. I would be interested, but not at those prices. A bit much for my budget.
Is that still accurate?
That being said, I am registered for the CMP shooting clinic next weekend in Sugar Grove.
What is...
I never tried to get here from work, or any other site that can be classified as 'weapons'. Something out being at a school district tells me that it is blocked w/o even trying.
Plus, I don't have time to really sit at a computer to try it during the day.
I have one of those Remington mini dehumidifiers (Model 365) in my safe. I just had to recharge it Friday, and half of the crystals are clear again, not much blue there.
I keep the air in that room moving almost all the time (fan), and it has not been helping much.
The CMP has Mossberg M44US bolt action rifles on sale. They should last a couple months and are only $175 + shipping. They are out of 7-round magazines already. They can be bought elsewhere though.
It is inexpensive and from what I read, shoots well. Mine should show up sometime early next...
I called Brownells first, and they gave my my account number to write on the copy of the C&R that I sent so that they upgraded my existing account. I was getting the discounts two days later.
I have yet to hear from SOG.
I know of nothing really in the McHenry area.
You might be able to get the people at D&J Guns on Rt. 120 to sign off on your shooting at the their range. However, the C&R fulfills this requirement anyway. Mine took about 5 weeks to get though.
You can also get a non-resident CCW from...
Unfortunately, I have to work. I tried to get out of it, but summer school is hard to talk your way out of once you accept the position months ago.
I hope there is a substantial turnout.
The bolt moves perfectly fine, and I can pull it back. It will not close the entire way, since the ammo is in the way due to the jam after the first round.
I have only ever shot .22LR through it.
I will take some time to look at your suggestions though.
Grammar and such fix, from an English teacher. Phrases such as "I personally" accomplish nothing except to make the writer look repetitious. Just some constructive corrections to help make the letter make more sense and be more presentable. It is not perfect, but it is an improvement to my...
I will admit that I am an ignoramus when it comes to some things.
I have a Sears Model 25 .22 rifle that I was given as a gift probably 15 years ago, at least. Anyway, after the first round is chambered and fired, it will not feed from the tube at all. It seems to be sending the ammo below...
I am glad I do not live in Chicago. I am close, but not in the city. Daley is pissed.
