I'd try some different ammo too. I'd got some winchester target ammo that my MKII hate's.

Just the standard no frills with 6" barrel, stock grips and trigger.

Took a few toys to the range and the old Ruger MKII never fails to impress me. I swear I could be jumping up and down, falling off a roof even blind folded and still put all 10 on target. This got me thinking what other gun out there can shoot like the MKII, and you can't say the MKIII :) but...

You'll love it :) Shoot 38's or 357 magnums, it's nice to have choice's.

I guess it depends on what your going to use it for. I got a C9 as a range toy and put over 2500 rounds thought it since Dec when I got it. Really can't complain about a 129 dollar gun that put's 8 rounds in a 2 inch group at 7 yards. I take it along with my 500, 357 and 22 for something...

I shoot the 2.75 sub nose and love it. It's about the lenght of my 4 inch 686. If the shooter next to me is shooting 7 yards or closer he's going to have a hard time hitting his moving target :cuss: If you get one just remember to keep your thumbs down.

Had my MKII since 1991 and not one single problem with it. As a matter of fact me and the wife just shot a couple hundred rounds today :) Just make sure you get one of those fancy thumb protector's thingy for reloading the mags :cool:

I'd hit the range with a couple box'es first then make up your mind. I got a 686 without the lock and a 500 with a lock and it doesn't brother me one bit.

I picked up 12 box'es of 9mm Blazer Brass today and that left only 6 boxes on the shelf. Maybe I should of bought them too.

Good luck finding a C9 cause they sell like hot cakes. Check the pawn shop's too. I own a C9 for less than a month now and already have over a 1000 rounds through it. They are alot of fun shooting. I have 4 eight rounds magazines and do alot of back to back shooting. Heck my 22, 357, 500 and...

I just got done with a 100 round box in ten minutes and 25 of them were in the bulls-eye at 7 yards. They are just plain simple guns but they are fun to shoot at the range. Heck if I had 1000 rounds today I'd shoot them all up in an hour :neener:
