    Question for residents of IL,LA,IN,OK,AL

Avoid Illinois like the plague. It is even worse in Chicago, you basically can't own anything besides a deer rifle and even then you need to bend over and say AHHHHH and give DNA samples practically. Cook County, which is Chicago and the surrounding area, has an AWB. No magazines over 10...

Para Ordnance website redirect to Anti-Virus spam

Coming from someone who has been running Linux since the 1.2.X kernel, telling people who do not use computers to run Linux is absolutely completely ABSURD. Linux yuppies need to learn not everyone can figure it out.

If AK-47 sights are so bad, why don't they change them?

You can spend all that money on a fancy red dot or spend $25 on a BSA red dot and about the same amount on a cover with a weaver rail, or a side mount with a weaver rail if you want even more accuracy. I never did understand why people would waste so much money. Personally I'd rather take the...

    WASR-10 feeding issues

Might want to check and see if your state has magazine capacity restrictions for hunting.

    Is everyone ready to cry?

Argh, not cool. Just like thinking low $3 a gallon is a good price on gas, I'm starting to think $200 shipped is a good deal.

    Wolf ammo,your honest opinion?

I've shot a lot of wolf in various calibers, never had an issue. Keep your gun clean (you do clean after every session right?) and it will go bang everytime. I've never had a FTF or FTE.

    Im Considerin a Romainian AK

I have a CAI imported WASR-10. At first I had mag release issues. With a little bit of dremel work it is great and runs like a champ. I've never had a feed or fail to fire issue. It eats a steady diet of Wolf ammo. I paid $279 for it a few years ago.

    Stupid business move?

If you have $695 in your pocket and he refused a sale which his business would of clearly profited on, he should find a new job. I have a local gun shop that did the same thing, twice. The first time he didn't want to sell me the Smith & Wesson I wanted and tried to pawn me off on something...

    Tied between a Hi-Point Carbine and a Kimel AP9

+1 on what COMPNOR said. The Hi-Point is a down right work horse, it will run all day with just a basic cleaning. I would recommend getting a recoil pad for it though for two reasons... extends the buttstock and makes putting several hundred rounds down the pipe easier. Little guy has a kick...

    Tied between a Hi-Point Carbine and a Kimel AP9

My Hi-Point 995 with the ATI stock and a cheapo 4x32 scope will put 5 shots in 1 cloverleaf hole at 25 yards on demand with WWB. I've been tempted to toss one of my nicer scopes on it, but it is just so dialed in, why bother. I think I have about $250 into it total? Just something to...

AD costs US a Gold Medal (merged threads)

Eric, the topic was about an AD. Sorry but I believe we can agree to disagree about what an AD is. He lost because he missed, and then the story made it sound like an AD. I guess I just set it off. I got on the trigger a little too hard. I didn't feel my finger shaking, but I guess it was. It...

AD costs US a Gold Medal (merged threads)

I'm sure all of us have competed at something at one time. We know that the level of anxiety at such a level of competition can interfere with your judgement and physical control. Not much else to say, but it is not an accident, the gun did not malfunction.

    Walmart

I don't know about you guys, but seriously, when it comes down to saving $10+ per box on a 100 pack of say 9mm vs ordering online, yeah Wal-Mart gets my business. Playing devils advocate though, anyone remember back when Wal-Mart proudly advertised 'Made in USA'? PS please tell me where I...

African-Americans Involvement in the Shooting Sports...

Daley runs the show in northeast Illinois. He does have power outside of Chicago and outside of Crook County. Go drive down Irving Park Ave south of O'Hare and look at a whole neighborhood in another city and county, that he BOUGHT OUT, including the gun shop. It is a damn ghost town there...

African-Americans Involvement in the Shooting Sports...

As much as you would believe it to be, that really does not happen much. This Gun Shop (now closed, bought out by Chicago for O'Hare expansion along with the rest of the WHOLE NEIGHBORHOOD), was actually just outside of Crook Country lines and in DuPage. There is very, very, very few actual gun...

African-Americans Involvement in the Shooting Sports...

In Illinois (Chicagoland), I saw a black man in a gun store once. First time that ever happened, and personally I got a bad vibe from how he was acting. I think the gun shop owner did also. He just didn't carry himself properly. In Wisconsin at a range, I saw a black man and his son shooting...
