Get the Colt.
For one, if you buy another brand you'll forever be wishing you had a Colt (I wish my 1911 was a Colt)
I'm sure the resale value of a Colt is better than any especially the 70 series.
Colts quality is as good as anyones and better than most.
The 1911 is a uniquely American...
Thanks all.
I have several relatives (Kentucky) that foster and each family hunts and obviously have firearms in the home. Not sure if any handguns are in any of the ones I know and I doubt any are CC .
I was told by the state that they simply demand that firearms be locked in a safe, locked...
Considering opening my home to foster children. Also concidering a CCDW permit.
When perusing my statepolice website for CCDW I came across this-

King Ghidora - Excellent. Alas, how true.
I can't help but think how the word 'Liberalism' has become such an oxymoron.
Makes one wonder how many nations have fallen throughout history because of extreem liberal ideas put into practice. I bet in each instance they thought they had stumbled...

Having owned revolvers from .22 to .44 mags I've found my S&W.357 mag. model 686 to be my favorite.
A versatile round with S&W reliability.

Well, as the thread continued (BTW, they returned his 10%) I've completely changed...

I refinished the stock when I got it and adjusted the front sight with a...
My intention in posting this thread was never intended to belittle England in any way or to smuggly behave that our way is the better way.
I just felt it was a good analogy to what could happen here.
Our way is our way.
Englands way is well... none of my business!
Thanks everyone and...

Just a few goats now.

I've heard my father state years ago that during WWII, Churchill made a plea to American citizens for their personal guns,(specifically hand guns and rifles) to help arm their people for the inevitable invasion from the Nazi's.
I've quoted this 'fact' before, using it as a fundamental argument...
