    Midway USA too expensive

Asherdan has it right. Shop around before you hit the order button. I've bought alot from Midway over the years but lately the stuff marked "On Sale" seemed to be the regular price. Buyer beware.

Dillon owners a couple of questions.

Seiko, I'm in the other boat. I've got a 550B that I've had and a XL650 that I haven't set up all the way yet. 300 rds an hour is all I'll do with my 550 because I stop occasionally to check my OAL and powder weights. I use TiteGroup so I don't want any double charges. BOTH of my presses I could...

    T/C Arms' Not-so-"Pro" Hunter .50 X 209

I grew up in Rochester,NH about four miles from the T/C factory . I've got a .54 New Englander that I absolutely feel I can depend on. From what I've heard S+W buying them out will only improve things. I've never heard anything negative about the customer service at T/C. I've only heard how...

Yes I knew it was a smoothbore. Bet it's still fun to shoot though.

    Modern Muskets Made in India

One of the members of the forum putting on the group buy posted a couple links regarding history of some of these muskets. India DID indeed make some of them way back when they were new. One of the posters in the thread wouldn't order one when he found out they were made in India because he was...

    Modern Muskets Made in India

http://www.middlesexvillagetrading.com/ Here's the place they are ordering from. Northeastshooters.com is the forum the group buy is originated from. I'd send you a link to the "group buy" but you have to be a member to read that section of the forum. I've heard nothing but good things about the...

    Brass Costs

Probably because most people won't even look at it let alone buy it. If you need brass buy once used brass for considerably less money.

    Modern Muskets Made in India

Anyone here see those replica BP flintlocks and percussion rifles made in India ?? I guess alot of reenactors use them. Another forum I'm on is doing a group buy and I was just wondering about the quality. Thanks.

New to Blackpowder Shooting - TC Hawken

Yes you can do it. Just make sure you get the correct size musket nipple that fits your brand muzzleloader. The threads are different on some of them. I bought mine [2 of them] one time when I was placing a order with MidwayUSA for reloading supplies. I just told the guy what brand my smokepole...

New to Blackpowder Shooting - TC Hawken

Nice purchase !! You did VERY well considering you got all those accessories. One thing I would consider doing is switching your #11 nipple to a musket one. It'll cost you under $10 and you'll get a lot hotter spark when you pull the trigger.

    Does TC still make sidelocks?

Check out the Fox Ridge Outfitters website and get their toll free number. Last time I was in the shop they had a few of them including the .58 Hawkens. I've got a .54 New Englander. What model are you looking for? I should be driving by the store this weekend and I'll check for you if you want.

    LED lighting for press

Thanks Red Dog. I like the LED lights because they cost so little to operate and I just want something to light up the inside of my case so I can see the powder charge.

What is your favored powder container size?

I only reload .40 and .45 and I use TiteGroup for both of them. It takes a while to empty the powder hoppers on my Dillons so 8 lb jugs work well with me. My bench is in the cellar and I store the powder upstairs out of harms way. Whenever I start a reloading session I check my powder level and...

Reloading bench construction help (low ceilings)

I'm having this problem as well. I've only got 2" or so between the ceiling and the top of my casefeeder. I'm going to cut my post down a couple inches so I'll have room to put brass into the hopper. I've been told this'll do the trick.:D

    LED lighting for press

Red Dog, is the magnet strong enough to stay in place and how expensive was it if you don't mind me asking ?? Looks like something I could use. Thanks.

Lyman great plain rifle kit problem

Thanks, that's simple enough to do. Midsouth Shooters Supply had those kits for something like $280 recently. Good price and I hear a real nice rifle.
