    Move the safety to the opposite of what you think it should be and that should let it work. As far as being a dud. I sent mine back to smith and wesson twice and then got rid of it. There are some walther forums out there, one is ar15 and one at at handgunforum.net something.

    If you do decide to go with them look up how to remove them correctly. The key is you have to depress the wide side of the mag to let the lugs slip out. Find the video as someone has suggested.
