Whats wrong with this gun? something looks off to me...

I had an AK-47 (Egyptian) and sold it for pennies which is what is was worth at the time. I should had kept it. Smart move buying yours when you did but that why you are Marcus Aurelius of the Volei. Thirteen!

    Ruger 10/22 vs. Marlin 795

I like and own a 10/22. Reliable and many accessories are available. However one of my fellow NRA instructors will never own a Ruger and even the 10/22. He had a run in with one of the Ruger executives and will never use their products. He owns Marlins. (Shhhhhhh, go with the Ruger)

    Your .308 opinions please

I'm a fan of the Rem 700 SPS Tectical. I know you're a lefty but find one, hold and and see what you think. Bottom line it is on how it feels to you. Good luck!

On Concrete! Why Do People Do This?

Most arms are not made of sugar. They can take it. Yes, take care of them but they should be able to handle a liitle rough treatment. Unless of course you plan on making them collectors items. JMO But getting back to your question. Maybe the wife won't let them be photographed in the kitchen.

    Sniper Rifles

I saw a Dagunov for $805. I thought about getting one just to play with but I would have to sneek that into the house somehow. :uhoh: I think the "oh honey I've had that rifle for a long time" phrase is starting to wear a little thin.

    5.56 AK type?

I see this has become a debate forum. nalioth maybe I don't know my products very well. Show me where they do not resemble. Remeber I did not say an exact copy but spin-off. You know; derivative, off-shoot? But to use the phrase “a red headed stepchild” when referring to a Sig Sauer, well...

    Holy Smokes

It's evolutionary. It's called thinning out the species. But seriously; That's one lucky dude! Good thing it bounced off of the ground in front of him instead of landing on his head directly. WOW

Ruger Mini 30 for $600, should I buy it.

I would say shop around a little more but the effort may not be worth it. I would buy it if it were me or at least put money down on it. I just think that they're kinda cool.

    Scope power vs. range

I have a 3-9 power and I find that anything above 6 I can see my pulse moving my cross-hairs however it good to have that option.

    The New Sig 522

How cool is that!?! I'm a follower of Sig Sauer and this is the first I've heard of it. I'll have to look into it but you can be sure that it's a darn good rifle. Nice find. :D

    OVIEDO Spanish Rifle?

I have this 7mm OVIEDO rifle. It says Spain on it and I was wondering if someone out there has one. I bought this rifle about 27 years ago for 50 bucks and the local gun shop. They had two of them so I bought the better looking of the two. Are they worth much and should have I bought both...

    5.56 AK type?

I emailed the powers to be at the folks that hold the Shot Shows. My question is if I am eligible to attend the show if I am a certified NRA instructor. Does anyone know the answer?

    Leupold CQ/T vs. ACOG

Seems like it down to a personal choice. Both outstanding optics.

    Keeping my rifles rust-free

A little light gun oil after handling them is my best bet.

    The Rifle you trust

For accuracy the Remington 700 is a nice pick but in a 5.56 (or 223) range, the Sig Sauer 556 is the one for me. A little pricy now-a-days but a dead on rifle. Now a "drop it in the muddy water, pick it and shoot it" type rifle you can"t beat an AK. I understand that some people are using them...
