    Smith & wesson model ?

    The "K" stamp has nothing what so ever to do with the type of sights. It is used to denote frame size. They can be K22s K38s or M&Ps Mdl 19s etc. The large frames were "S" and later "N" frames on the Mdl. 29. The small frames are or were "J" frames. The older small frames were stamped "I" frames.

    Smith & wesson model ?

    The "K" only means it is a K frame. It may be any number of medium frame S&W hand guns. If there is no Mdl. number stamped on the yoke it was made before 1957. {Maybe}

    Black powder cowboy action shooting

    Yes, you can shoot Cap&Ball handguns in the Frontier Class. The Colt 1860 Army is popular in that class. The 1858 Rem. and 51 Navy are also used.

    45acp revolver..

    I have an old 1955 Target S&W in .45 ACP&AR. I shoot mostly Win 231 in both the ACP and AR cases. I shoot many 45AR and I only need to change the shell plate on my Dilon to change over from ACP. The Dillon Demooner in steel works great. The Dillon Plastic Demooner is a waste of money. The AR...

    Thinking of getting a fint lock

    Why so sensitive? I did not mention any rifle by name or brand. I did not say what rifles I had problems with. The cost of an American lock and an American barrel are worth the extra bucks.:)

    Thinking of getting a fint lock

    The problem with many of the import production guns they can have poor ignition. There is no such thing as bargin basement flint lock. After having wasted money on some of these bargins I bought a TVM. You can save a few more bucks and get an American made lock and barrel you will be much...

    The Good...The Bad :-(

    I lost my partner "Mac" a loyal Gordon Setter. We hunted the deserts and mountains of Wyoming. When it was OK to have fun he would chase and never catch the big Jack Rabbitts. He was wounded by a Badger. When he did not heal up right, we found he had cancer. The last painful days he would lay...

    Tennessee "Poor Boy"

    I would check out TVM Mat Avance. I have one in .50 Cal. nice rifle. I would make sure to order one with an English style lock. Many of these are made with Siler locks. The Siler lock is a Germanic style is just not correct on Southern Rifles. I know some will disagree on the lock question. If...

    Border Patrol checkpoints in Washington State

    I go thru Border Patrol check points in several states. I always have a handgun on board. They have had the dogs sniff but never inter my cab. I have never had firearms come up when questioned. I don't think they have any control of firearms inside the states.:)
