    44-40 which bullets?

Hi guys. I have a Colt SAA 44-40 Sheriffs model on the way. It was made in 1980-82. Wondering if regular .430 lead bullets will work ok. I'm trying to get all the reloading components ordered so I won't have to wait to shoot it. Any help would be great. Thanks. dcl

Reloading Lead Bullets for 45 ACP; Help Please

Heck Ya. Load up the 200 grain swc and save the FMJ for-well im not sure what to save them for. But shoot the lead. As stated above. Standard load of 4.8-5 grains of 231 will get you there in style. Have fun. dcl

    Efficiency, powder choice, and OAL

My AR loves the AA2230+ hornady 55 gr. fmj combo. Im using Lake City brass with CCI primers. As you stated very low SD. I am running just under max loads and getting better accuracy than at the lower end of the powder scale. But as always use caution. This load has become my go-to load. dcl
