I have my ruger mkIII semi taken down currently and cannot seem to remove the barrel from the frame. This is the first time I have field stripped the gun. It's pissing me off. Any suggestions before I take it to a gunsmith?

Well dang. Hopefully someone with specific knowledge of stars can confirm what myself and others are thinking, that the aforementioned crack should not be there and that the gun really is toast.

more info I also have a picture of the inside of the slide which seems to bear the proof mark, though I can find no record of the mark or the adjacent XIV XIX. Any info? It definitely needs a clean/lube

I shoot Aguila 115 +p with about 8k rounds through it. No problems at all, I have a heavier wolf recoil spring in it though

wow yah, unless there was visible frame damage of the non cosmetic type and action seemed decent, i'd be scrambling for my wallet.
