    SCCY second hand range report

Trying 2nd pic No idea why the 12 foot target didn't show. Will try again with this one. (And yes, to answer a question above, "build quality" is visual inspection at the gun shop, rack slide, feel how it feels in the hand, etc. I would consider that at least as important as its...

    SCCY second hand range report

Hum.... my browser doesn't display the pics, but if you right-click in that area, the file names are correct to do a "save as". What did I do wrong?

    SCCY second hand range report

SCCY CPX-2 Range Report I made a mistake in my last post (by assuming) and didn't get the LG9. I bought the CPX-2. Took it outside (I live out in the boonies), set up a target and ran some rounds through it. Brand new, never fired, only cleaned and oiled last night when I brought it home...

    SCCY second hand range report

I just bought a LG9. I've had many compacts and sub-compacts through the years. "Feeling", it feels like a quality-built pistol... certainly better than the quality of my P3AT, Grendel (which I sold), and would put it on-par with how my G-23 feels, but considerably smaller for carry (which is...

    Bury a rifle?

Don't forget where you buried it. Imagine archaeologists finding your cache 5000 years from now. :)

A Matter of Timing now available

Shunzu asked on the other forum that someone here post a message letting everyone know that the new book is now available. Just ordered my copy this morning and looking forward to reading it! I clicked the link off of www.gmillercompanies.com and it was $10.95 plus shipping.

    M1A Scope Mounting

I have a real SA 3rd gen mount, but took it off because I was shooting open-sight matches. If anyone wants it, PM me and make me an offer I can't refuse.

New Rem 700 SPS-V trigger adjustment screw loose.

I use clear fingernail polish to anchor my 700's triggers after adjustment. Perhaps blue lock-tite would also work.

    Somthing indestructable...

Glock 23 (.40 S&W) is hard to beat in the tuff-as-nails and dependable department. I'm not sure if there's any such thing as indestructable though. Even M1 Abrams can be turned to scrap by the right weapons.

Will powder & primers go bad in cold?

Will powder & primers go bad in cold?

I moved 2 years ago and put all my reloading equipment, dies, reloaders, primers and powder into boxes and stored in a friend's barn. I didn't think I'd be here this long, but I'm still here. My question is this: Midwest winters, most of the powder is new and unopened, but many of the...

    Dies For A Precision .308

Redding competition in a Dillon RL-550B with a Pact electronic scale/measurer is hard to beat. One more for Redding.

    Ammunition shelf life

I actually had some Russian .22 match ammo go bad that I bought about 10 years ago. It's been stored at room temperature but only about 50% of it will go BANG when the trigger is pulled, regardless what rifle it's in. Other than that, I've never had ammo go stale.

    Anyone remember Neil Sherman?

Many years ago, before the Internet, BBS's on modems were popular. There was a board (I forget its name right now, sorry) in St. Louis (if memory serves) and a guy named Neil Sherman used to post there quite a bit. I think he was from Tennessee. Has anyone seen him around on the forums out...

A Matter of Timing now available

Bummer. I joined here just to read it and had seen it referenced on ohter boards that this was the "home" of the stories. Anyone know where else he's posting it now? Thank you in advance.
