    I just got a Ruger Bisley Super Blackhawk Hunter in 44 Mag. I was not sure about the Bisley but it works just fine. Personally, I like the look of the original but it was unavailable at the time I bought. I got tired of waiting and bought the Bisley.

    Where to buy cheap .44 Magnum Ammo?

    I got about 500 empty cases and 300 bullets free. My cousin found them at the dump! Bullets new in unopened boxes, cases fired but perfect condition in plastic boxes. Doesn't get any cheaper than THAT!!!! (Well, I had to buy the reloading dies for $40)

    Spring kit will help considerably without permanent changes. MidwayUSA sells several on their website. These contain several different weight hammer springs and a trigger spring.

    I did not like the idea of shooting a .44 Ruger with parts not installed properly (i.e. spring leg unhooked) or bending stuff. So, I installed a Wilson Combat trigger and hammer spring kit ($13 bucks at MidwayUSA.com) which lightens and improves trigger feel considerably. It feels safe to me...

    Safe Queens?

    Winchester 94-22 Lever Action rifle (one of the last made) I've shot it but not often! Actually, I have a little Henry .22 Lever Youth Model which is not as cool but it has a better action even with its cast receiver and plastic barrel bands. And it cost less than half the Win.
