The Bulgarian waffle mags cured all the wobbling problems I had. I did have to grind on the mag opening though. The area that needed grinding was around the mag latch. It was very apparent where to grind when trying to fit the mag. Not much metal removal at all.

Aim was selling Hungarian on stripper clips, but they are out now. Maybe they will get some more in?????????????

The soft point shot well in my M39 (1 1/2 at 75 yds from a rest). I haven't come across any swiss rds. to try.

I like mine very much, alot smoother bolt than my M48. Also, the stock seems to be more ergonomic. If you decide to get one, check the left side of the receiver. Mine still has some faint markings from F.N..

Yup, the plugs are where knots were. You see it alot on M39's .. The knots must make the stock weak.

If the rifle has been refurbed the year will be stamped on the receiver tang behind the safety. You can't go by color alone to tell walnut from beech. There are some light colored walnut stocks. Beech does not really have much of a grain pattern. It also exhibits little swirls or half moons...
