I believe in overkill. I did a test once with several oils and waxes and found Breakfree CLP worked the best by a good measue much more than their Collectors oil. I use rechargeable dessicant and a heating rod. I have never had a problem. Not even a speck of rust even if I took the guns out...
If you ccw and carry a spare magazine you should practice dropping the mag. If you train yourself to catch it and put it in a pocket you are wasting valuable seconds. If you don't carry a reload then I see no reason to drop it.
I do use Crimson Trace grips on a couple, I have found them to be reliable and unobtrusive. A rail would mostly be for a light but I prefer to not have it mounted.
357 out of any snubby is stout but not bad out of these
I can't readily compare the grip angle to anything else but it does feel pretty natural (my 2 cents)
They do make a good CCW but because of their heavy weight aren't ideal for pocket carry.

"Looks, definitely. Especially for self-defense. I mean, the odds of me ever having to use it are so slim, but I'll pretty much always be fondling it. I have one of those .88 magnums that shoot through whole schools, so I sent it to Bryco for a great hard chrome job and it has custom stocks that...
We may be Pal's but if Zombies chase us, I'm trip'n ya.
Love that signature line
I've got ammo from the mid 90 that got pretty hot in a garage for a few years that still shhots fine.
Another vote for the leveraction. They are fun and can be loaded with wax bullets and primer up to a hard cast that will knock down anything in North America.
I have a Ruger 480. I had no problems with the first few boxes of hornady ammo. After a bit they changed the boxes and now the cases stick pretty tight in the cylinder. I called Hornady and they said they didn't make any changes to the round just the packaging so it is possible that it is...
The Sig is my choice. I have a 220ST beside the bed. The reasons are it fits my hand well, have never had any problems, the extra weight makes for a faster double tap and for me at least points very naturally,
I have the ST just for that reason. It would be heavy for carry but for plinking, range time and HD it can't be beat. I have several hundred rounds throuh mine with no issues. I also put laser grips on it and have a sure fire in the wall safe beside it. I tried their weapon mounted light but...
Gurnard,
I usually carry a 342PD however this past weekend I went out of state to a less than desirable area for a couple of days, I carried my K-40. If I knew trouble was brewing and had to have a pistol I would prefer my Sig P220ST. I find the Sig too large to carry, however the K-40 is...
I also have the spurless. If I was limited to one gun that would be it. It hits where I aim carries well enough and is powerfull enough for most anything with 2 or 4 legs. Mine prefers the 158's.
I bought mine when they first came out so I'm sure you got a better price than me. I put crimson trace grips on mine but the one thing I never got used to is the long, heavy and gritty trigger pull. It is by far the worst I have felt.
The kick is stout. I like recoil but I would rather...
