Update.
I polished the feed ramp and took the 1911 9mm back to the range. I fired 115 grain Magtech ammunition and all 50 rounds fired without any jams.
I had to wait until my Wilson Combat magazine came in before trying the 124 grain ammunition. That gave me time to really clean things up with my sonic cleaner. Additionally, I compared the spring with my 1911 45 acp Commander spring for sizing. I noticed the spring on my 9mm Commander was about a 1/4 of an inch shorter than the one on the 45. So I took a spring that was the same length at 14 lbs and installed it on the 1911 9mm.
I received my Wilson Combat magazine and took a trip to the range along with 40 rounds of Magtech 115gr, 30 rounds of Winchester 124gr, 115gr of Berrys (pated) and Brazos precision (hiteck coated) bullets. as well as 40 rounds of Acme 124gr (hitek coated) bullets.
Outcome:
The Magtech 115gr bullets all fired without jamming on both the Wilson Combat and Act Mag. All the Winchester 124gr bullets fired without jamming from either magazine. Berrys 115gr plated bullets all fired without jamming. However, both types of hitek coated bullets jammed (Brazos precision 115gr and Acme 124 gr) on both the ACT Mag and Wilson Combat Mag.
The end result was favorable. Now my ATI 1911 9mm will fire 115gr and 124gr factory ammo without jamming. The only limitation is that the bullets have to be plated or FMJ. Reloads that use coated Lead will not function, which while disappointing is ok. At least now I can fire 124gr factory ammo without a jam. On the upside 115gr ammunition which is cheaper cycles excellent.
Maybe as time progresses and the parts start to wear, things will change, but for now I'm happy.
Below are photos of my groupings as well as the ATI 1911 9mm with the full length guide rod.
