Does anyone have any load data or experience loading 357 mag with Cast Performance lead wide flat nose gas check. I’m using H110 powder. I can find data on Hodgdons website for 180gn bullets but I believe they are jacketed. My manual doesn’t have this specific bullet either, so I’ve loaded these with the starting charges of h110 listed for the other 180gn bullets and plan to work my way up. I’m just curious if anyone has any experience. Im shooting them out of a 16” carbine and a 686+, I’d like to hunt deer with the carbine.

The information you're looking for if it's the bullet I believe it is is in RCBS silhouette mold. I have the mold and it has a gas check on the back but I plan to powder coat them.

Thanks, that 42k cup seems like pretty high pressure, should I be worried about that?

I don't exactly worried about loads that are put inside reloading manuals. There are too many lawyers and lawsuits involved for them to publish something dangerous. As always start low and work up

I've worked up over that max charge with a coated 180 WFN. So I would say that data is safe.
From 13 grains to my stopping point, accuracy didn't change.
13grs gave mid 1700s from a 20" barrel.
