Don't forget SGammo. They have very good prices and are a great source for Winchester Ranger if you use it.

to be honest anytime you have to shoot 1000 rounds or close to that at a training site is ridiculous. By the time you pay for the class, buy ammo, place to stay, food, beverages, and supplies is just too expensive... hell, that's more than I get a month from SS...lol....

All the new gun owners who bought guns over the last 4 years hadn't enough perspective to buy it cheap and stack it deep. Most folks in our CHL and Carbine courses are bringing ammo that they bought a day or two before the class. If the .gov puts the kabosh on the recycling of intact military brass like they did in 2009, there will likely be a run like we have never imagined. If the current administration is in power at the end of January we can expect an end to reloaded .mil brass, an end to imported ammo, and the .gov to be buying up a large % of domestically produced centerfire ammo. Current law allows the Executive branch to do it.

My LGS recently had a huge sale in which they were selling federal and winchester cases of 1K for $300. CCI was only $320. They had lots of cases in stock but were sold out in a couple of weeks.
